Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses any Espyeon website, application, API or service. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service, and breaching it is a breach of those Terms. It exists so that the rules are stated plainly rather than buried in a clause.

2. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Services to:

• break the law, or facilitate anyone else breaking it, including laws on fraud, export control, sanctions, gambling, controlled substances and securities;
• infringe copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, publicity or privacy rights;
• distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any code designed to damage, disable or gain unauthorised access to a system;
• send spam, phishing messages, chain letters or unsolicited bulk communications;
• harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or incite violence against any person, or publish another person’s private information without their consent;
• upload or distribute child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexually exploits a minor — we report this to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement without exception;
• impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system or network, or probe or test the vulnerability of any system without our prior written permission;
• circumvent rate limits, authentication, licensing checks or any other technical restriction;
• impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, including through automated scraping, denial-of-service traffic, or crypto-mining; or
• resell or redistribute the Services, or use them to build a directly competing product.

3. Security research

We welcome good-faith security research. If you find a vulnerability, report it privately to Contact@espyeon.com and give us a reasonable period to fix it before disclosing it. We will not pursue legal action against researchers who act in good faith, stay within the scope of their own accounts and data, avoid privacy violations and service degradation, and do not exfiltrate, modify or destroy data. Testing that harms other users, or that continues after we ask you to stop, is not good faith.

4. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, throttling or suspending access, terminating accounts, and reporting conduct to law enforcement. We will use proportionate measures where we reasonably can, but we reserve the right to act immediately and without notice where there is a risk of harm to people, to data, or to the Services. Terminations for cause do not entitle you to a refund.

5. Reporting abuse

To report a violation of this policy, email Contact@espyeon.com with as much detail as you can — what you saw, where, and when. Copyright complaints should follow the DMCA procedure in section 9 of our Terms of Service.
